it was amazing
Read from June 26 to July 03, 2012

Have you ever read a quote or a line or a passage that so closely resembled your own life and feelings that it gave you goosebumps? To feel as if the author went into your soul and pulled out your innermost thoughts and feelings? I am only two chapters into The Notebook and it has already happened. This leads me to believe that this book is going to blow away my expectations which were already sky-high having seen the film numerous times and was brought to tears on each occasion...


"He was thirty-one now, not too old, but old enough to be lonely. He hadn't dated since he'd been back here, hadn't met anyone who remotely interested him. It was his own fault, he knew. There was something that kept a distance between him and any woman who started to get close, something he wasn't sure he could change even if he tried. And sometimes in the moments right before sleep came, he wondered if he was destined to be alone forever..."

Well done, Sparks, well done...
