did not like it
bookshelves: science-fiction

I was pretty disappointed. I just couldn't get into it. The Star Trek characters were well developed but the "guest star" character, and his entire race just didn't engage me or strike me as interesting. I ended up scanning most of it.

Lyndon No disrespect for Alan Dean Foster, he's a prolific writer and successful, but sometimes his tie-in novels are just bland - solid story telling but bland. I read his Terminator Ashes novelization and it was just fair, whereas Timothy Zahn's prequel to that story was creative and engaging.
