it was amazing

Absolutely marvelously narrated story of the extraordinary Herculean efforts of King Alfred, the only English king to ever be called "the Great." He masterminded the defeat of the Vikings, inspired by the Gospel and led by his own repentance, and reestablished the rule of righteousness in the realm. This is an inspiring example of the comprehensive Christian engagement needed in our day, where we serve our decaying nations in the West in the renewal of social, economic, security, and political spheres of influence.
