it was amazing

Disclosure: I am a great fan of Amber's poetry and this second book is stunning in the new and very intense directions she takes us. Her mastery of craft is so evident...actually has been apparent from the beginning. But, here takes us on a new direction of self-discovery/disclosure that never crosses a line into too much nor sentimentality. I think much of this is because of her deft control of the poems. I felt no awkward moments and trusted the poet to take me safely through some challenging moral and emotional territory. And, there are moments of just sheer joy...don't want to make too much of the heavier terrain she is crossing. Loved it.

Amber Duff, Thank you for paying attention to my poetry and sharing your appreciation of it with other readers. I am at work on a third book, which should be ready this winter. I am striving for more joy, and finding that it is all around me, even in moments of pain. I just keep pulling on the joy and light and it is guiding me to even more profound work. Thanks again, Amber

Duff My joy, Amber. So looking forward to the next book...will keep lots of space open on my poetry shelf for them. :-)
