it was amazing
bookshelves: all-time-faves, french-literature
Read from June 15 to 20, 2012

I had never heard of this book before until I saw it on my local library's website and decided to give it a whirl. Why had I never heard of this book before?! It's excellent!! I'm a sucker for tulips, a leading man who is honest and God-fearing, a leading lady who stands up to be counted when the going gets rough, a sweet and chaste love story, slimy cheaterheads getting their comeuppance, and political intrigue in the days of tyrant kingship, and this book... was exactly that. Especially the tulips!

I absolutely loved it. I want to read it again! It was way too short!
