Team Eric. I don't even care who he's with I just want more of him. I want him happy and loved, and I want terribly to read Waking Dreams, like, immediately.
Found, though, is Amelia's story. Timid, traumatized Amelia. I didn't think she'd be a great protagonist, and I'm not even entirely sure how the sniveling, cowering Amelia turned into the confident, stubborn Millie, but it sent the storyline into a direction I hadn't anticipated. Emotionally I disagree with her choice, if there were not a magical souldbind then not a good soul in the world would want her to be with Mitchell. In the real world this relationship would be viewed entirely different. And that's exactly how I viewed it because even in fantasy books protagonists like Millie should know better. I'm sure in future books they won't have a problem at all, I just hope that everybody know that's not real. At all. If you know a "Mitchell" don't date him, you know what, don't even go near him. Some things can not be undone. But, this is a fuzzy fantasy book, so Amelia's just going to forget what he's done and move on. Great. *Sigh*
Anyways, I devoured this book. I stayed up through the night and read it in one sitting. Devoured. It hooked me in and wouldn't let go. Well-written with great pacing and lots of tense and emotional scenes, I couldn't and didn't want to stop. Unfortunately, I'm not particular thrilled with how this one ended. I guess it was kind of supposed to be a happy ending of sorts, but it just filled me with dread. Eventually I will continue this series, but for now I'm just going to be glad that Stoyanoff wrote a novella about Eric, because that adorable little bundle of vampire was the one bright light in a dark story of love, hate, vampires, and witches.
