liked it

So you may be wondering why I only gave this three stars...
I think she is an amazing writer and expressed herself very well. I am impressed with her story and was moved by many things she shared, such as her relationship with her father and how a strong father figure played into her success. I love her connection with people and her frankness with the way women treat eachother when they differ. Again, why the three stars? I didn't feel comfortable with her strong language, her crass humor at times, and different ideologies that surfaced again and again. I felt that I listened to her but didn't start to really connect with her until she was defending herself about Palin, her maternal joys/struggles, in-law humor, and of course I liked her situation in the beginning with her parents (that carried me through a lot of the awkward parts). I found her comparisons of women in the workplace from the beginning of her career versus today was enlightening and well, fascinating. I just wish the language was toned down so I could contemplate in those chapters rather than reading quickly to sidestep the crassness bombs.
Overall I did like it, laugh, and am glad I read it but it's not something I would recommend to a lot of people.
