it was amazing
bookshelves: historical-fiction

We read this for book club and then we were even able to get Nancy Turner to come to our book club. It was amazing meeting her we were able to ask her questions and learn how she wrote the book why she wrote it and the amazing amount of research she did to write it. I really could relate to Sarah as she traveled through the Arizona wilderness and was amazed that you could survive living there with out the a/c(I know I would have complained way more). My only complaint about the book but after you get in to it you don't notice it any more is the way it is written with out proper English(it is meant to be her diary so it makes sense but at first for me it was really annoying)look forward to reading the 2 sequels and Nancy has another book that is around the time of WWII(my big weakness)
