liked it
bookshelves: historical-fiction, time-travel

It started promising, until Clair blossomed into a rancid flower. I suppose I became suspicious of her "good character" when I saw how little she cared for her 20th century husband but the initial dislike quickly turned to disgust when she blackmailed the Scottish laird, or when she called the people who helped her barbaric, yes those nasty idiots born in 18th century Scotland. How dare they?

It is rather disheartening to see the growing herd of readers eager to lick the feet of this self-righteous asshole of a woman.
