it was amazing
bookshelves: funny, fun, novels
Read in July, 2010

The finest example of satirical postmodern literature I've ever read. I shared the first chapter with my AP English class and they enjoyed it too. Leyner does a superb job of combining acute skewering of 80s-era excess with absurdist nonsense, all without descending into meaninglessness or silly fluff.

As with all satire, the more you know about the targeted material, the more you'll enjoy it.
