really liked it

What an adventure! Barbara Eirenreich pulled me into her unfolding story of trying to survive as a low wage worker in three locations in the US. Her voice is sharp and critical, yet full of a deep emotional groundedness, stirring empathy, and some great humor, satirical at the best and worst of times. This was a perfectly complimentary to my Economics class- very moving insiders look at the way we do business.
