it was amazing
bookshelves: first-reads
Read from June 25 to 29, 2012 — I own a copy

I will start by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it.

This book depicts the amazing resiliency of the human spirit. I fell in love with each of the characters and their distinct personalities and am impressed by the care and detail the author took in creating each one.

I loved that though the ending was in some ways what you would expect the route the book took to get there was original and at times very unexpected.

Though I felt that some of the side stories were unnecessary for the flow and that the relative ease that the main character has in filling roles he's thrown into was perhaps slightly unrealistic, it has been a while since I have read a book so enthralling.

I very much look forward to reading other books by A.M. Homes!
