** spoiler alert ** I hate that I love this book so much... it is so wrong, but oh, so good... wasted a whole day an night reading this book, and I have to say, as much as I hated it, I loved it!

Denny should be part of the Douchebags (the band name fits the personality, in my opinion) and Kellan... the tormented bad boy, desperate for a connection *huge sighs*

And Kiera? I hated her until the last couple of chapters, then I don't know... and I still don't know how I feel about her.

4.5 starts.

Not a complete review, I'm still undecisive about this one...

I had a couple of days to think about this book and how I feel about it and I must say, my initial reaction was a little too harsh. I still think Denny is a douche, I mean the man never suspected his best friend and his girlfriend were having an affair but I can see how the theme here played into it.

Thoughtless is as much about growing up, finding yourself, and facing your fears as it is about betrayal, guilt, and self respect. As wrong as it was for Kiera to cheat, worse would have been for her to stay in a relationship that clearly wasn't going to last. Denny was safe and she hid behind the safety net he provided her.

Denny needed to go and be himself and build his career and take on the opportunities of a lifetime that were offered to him instead of giving it all up for a girl who didn't really understand how much it all meant to him, how much their future depended on his success. He might love her now, but eventually he would regret not following his dreams.

Then there's Kellan- the cocky, ridiculously gorgeous, rich manwhore (sigh), who is afraid of being alone. He needs constant attention and affirmation that he is wanted and loved because of a terrible childhood caused by abuse and neglect from his parents. He certainly plays his musical talent for his advantage. Kellan is the perfect tormented hero (my favorite)!

Kellan and Kiera are in the same emotional point in their lives. Neither have found their true self yet and doing it together, as painful as it might become, connects them more than anything. They also complement each other.

I still hate that I loved this book so much and I'm excited to see how this will all play out on the next book, or not...
