I really enjoyed reading this book and learning about the monarchs between Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. This book is really a collection of short biographies of Edward VI, Jane Grey, and Mary. At times I felt sympathetic to each of these monarchs, especially Jane who had very little choice and tried to refuse the crown. Weir also does a fair job of describing the political forces both within England and on the continent that contribute to the downfall of each reign.

Highly recommend for anyone who is interested in Tudor history.
