it was amazing

Simply outstanding. Norris is a writer who for many years was agnostic/atheist, but at some point in her adult life she found her way back to the church, to religion, and she writes eloquently, humbly, and realistically about these things. There were many sections of the book that applied to more than one idea or phenomenon (e.g., small town life, addiction, loneliness, depression) and I quoted these in pages and pages of my journal. Here is just one: "Fear is not a bad place to start a spiritual journey. If you know what makes you afraid, you can see more clearly that the way out is through the fear."
