Super-low angst romance between an ex hockey star turned rising businesswoman and a skater/Instagram selfie merchant who's doing a secret MBA. (Colin, the bi brother of Callie from Kiss and Cry). It's adorable. Lexi is frank and doesn't mince words, which as she's a woman makes her 'difficult' and 'abrasive'. Colin is a total people pleaser who does feelings and is rather used to being treated as totty.
There's no big Dark Moment or third act misunderstanding, just two people who are used to other people not seeing them right, and who find in each other the person who *gets* it, and listens, and cares. A soothing balm to the soul.

This sounds lovely. I get so tired of the formulaic romances, where you can just about guess every plot point based on what percentage of the book you're up to.
