Picked this up because I'm a fan of his music. I wasn't entirely disappointed, but do feel that I would rather hear him sing his words than simply reading them myself from a page. As a songwriter, I admire Ritter's ability to tell an entire story in a 4-5 minute song. This book wasn't long, but I found myself wanting the conclusion to come long before it did. I did enjoy the way the plots of past and preset were woven together and his writing is pretty (even when he's talking about war and death).
