I think I am becoming a sucker for stories where one half of the couple is an artist or is just beginning to explore that artistic side. I seem to not be able to get enough of descriptions of the artwork or how the characters perceive the work. This book also had a nice twist of one half of the couple being color blind, so we get descriptions of the work in ways other than simple descriptions of color. When I taught art, I was a big fan of asking students to talk about how a piece made them feel.
Anyhow, a little bit of angst, some saucy interactions, sharing of difficult pasts and ultimately a love story. Good stuff!
