really liked it
bookshelves: fantasy

Fairly good conclusion, but this book can't hide the fact that it WAS time to wrap this series up. The spinoff should open some new doors, so I'm looking forward to that.

Mostly fun, rolled along well most of the time, had a few surprises in it.

Others have accurately noted that Carriger got a bit careless with silly character names, perhaps from thinking too much about that annoying dipstick Ivy, who for me was a giant anchor every time she appeared. And that the Lefoux and Floote stories could have been explained better.

Prudence was a good idea, and well thought out, especially the "No" part and most especially calling Genevieve "Foo".

Conall has turned into an approximation of the Hulk, and could have been better here.
And I'm glad to be done with Channing; never did see why he was needed or why he had to be such a complete dick.

Lord Akeldama seems to have suddenly turned into benign Grampa Dama; that was a tad disappointing from my favourite. But I'll give Carriger that one because she did such a good job with Biffy.

Still an excellent series.
