really liked it

I found this difficult to get into and it was never as engaging as I hoped it was going to be, and yet I really liked it. It has depth and the style is a strange mixture of fantasy and incomprehensible politics.

All the important characters are women, with men being around but mostly ineffectual. That was a change. As for Elphaba, the not-so-wicked witch, I found her fascinating, but hard to like.

Fiona I really struggled with it and ended up giving up !

Rosemary I can understand that! It was touch and go for me at times but I was interested enough in Elphaba to keep going. I have to say though, it gets more and more weird.
