The heroine meets the hero when she moves into town. She was in her first year of college so the hero thought she was only eighteen and still a 'baby'. For a while the hero can't stay away from her but refuses to make love to her because of her age and the fact that she is a virgin. When he discovers that she didn't omit her real age of twenty-two, he is mad but at the same time insanely happy because he can now be with her in the sexual sense. However they got a whole lot of problems to discuss beginning with the heroes possessive and sometimes downright scary attitude.

It was a short and light read. I didn't find myself hating or liking the novel. Some of it I found a bit drastic. The hero is borderline abusive in my opinion, he had too much get up and go and not enough understanding or common sense.
