it was ok

better than her first series, i am still suspicious of how much writing LC does herself.

all the characters (except gaby - come on, there's more to someone than just being stupid! give us more!) are more fleshed out than the candy girls. madison grows by leaps and bounds, carmen starts off more real than any of the other girls, and kate fills the hole jane roberts left.

took me less than an evening to read, and wasn't bad. i don't like all the shifting viewpoints within each chapter, i am highly suspicious of laurel, and i want gaby to stop just being a stupid person. let's talk about her eating disorder in a real way or something! i mean, why is she even a character? she isn't one.

but it's an improvement, and i do like that. it just could have been so much more.
