I found Snakehead to be quite good!

I gave it three stars because it's not my favourite Alex Rider book so far and the storyline kind of disappointed me. I mean, the general structure of each Alex Rider book is the same so far. He makes it out of a mission, soon after, he finds himself in another one where he is almost killed many times, the main evil mastermind captures him and tells Alex his plans, Alex makes a witty response, and then he swears not to do another mission again, rinse and repeat.

However, I find Horowitz's writing style to be highly imaginative and original, and often humorous. I find the way he writes to be captivating and hard to put down. Although I do love the Alex Rider series, this one book wasn't as great as the rest. And although we find out more about Alex's past, the book does not contribute greatly to the overall storyline, which shocked me since this is a part of the final trilogy.

Hope the next one's better!
