I have loved Jen Lancaster ever since I picked up my first copy of Bitter is the New Black. Jeneration X promised the return of the uber snarky voice of Jen fans have grown to love. I was exited for its return as a couple of her last books lacked a bit of the hutzpah of days past. X did keep its promise in that the voice from Bitter was back however, I gave it three stars because several of the stories from the book were already featured on Jen's blog. I understand that in memoirs you pull experience from your life to funnel to the reader and that a blog is a real time version of this principle. I only wish I knew how much was going to be pulled from the blog so I could have saved myself $12.99 on a book I had essentially already read. That said I'm still a huge fan of Jen, her books and her blog and recommend the book...for anyone that doesn't follow her on Jennsylvania.
