Horrendous. Eliot's extremely pedantic and Victorian-poetic lines, mixed with old English (I'm sure for effect but it didn't work) makes this historical story virtually unreadable. I'm not saying that I don't like to be challenged as a reader, but unless you're Shakespeare, you have to keep poetry out of plays, or you're simply going to ruin the plot. Run far away from this disaster-piece.
