The 3rd book in the series is similar in structure to the 2nd. This book is about 5 of the campers who come to Elm Creek - all for various reasons and from very different personal circumstances - and bond as a group. Each has some major personal crisis to deal with over the next year. To stay close, they decide to work on a challenge quilt during the next year - and create their blocks after they've done something about their own personal crisis. Again, they form very close friendships while helping each other through their trials.
