It's July 15th of 1988, Dexter Mayhew and Emma Morley have just met. But after spending only one day together, they cannot stop thinking about the connection they shared. After spending many nights together, kissing, joking and reminiscing, their relationship transcends over 20 years. Each year on July 15th, their careers and love life has taken different paths. Emma is trying to be a successful waitress and Dexter job in the entertainment business is soon to about to come to a halt. One tragic night changes Dex's life, now he must come into a painful realization about his future.

The only reason why this was given a mediocre rating, it is because it lacked consistency. I felt that the author added way unnecessary detail that added very little or nothing to the story. The writing style was magnificent, character development was fair but how it wrapped up was disappointing.

Liz I agree! I wasn't a fan of the ending either. Did you see the movie yet?

Michael Yes I loved the movie but the book was just lame to me. It was way too wordy, it lost focus of the central theme- the romance between Dex and Emma.
