really liked it
bookshelves: 2008, alternate-history, ebook, science-fiction

This is the story of a modern West Virginia town transplanted into the middle of Germany during the Thirty Years' War. This was a re-read. I loved it the first time around many years ago but never made it to the rest of the series. Since I had such fond memories of the story, I decided to try again. While some of the historical explanations dragged (and I was a history major!), the story is solid and the plotting kept me reading. Highly recommended -- You finish and want to find out what happens to the characters next.
