it was amazing

Smart, funny, urban fantasy with a healthy dose of self-awareness. Imagine that the characters from The Chronicles of Narnia or Harry Potter were in their late teens and had loved fantasy books about a magic school since childhood. They suddenly find themselves in a magic school that isn't quite what they thought it would be. The novel is closer to being like real life than a fairy tale, and the wry wit and irony (as well as many unexplained mysteries) make this a tough book to put down.
