This was a decent story with well developed characters with complex motivations. The setting and Asian influenced culture was by far the most enjoyable--the robes of various occasions that the characters were constantly fussing with, the bowls of tea or wine that made excellent props that a character might consider during a serious conversation, and of course, the poses that were a key part of communication.

Overall, a decent read. It did take me quite awhile to get into, and I was disappointed by the ending. It left several questions unanswered, and had me wondering what the point of it all had been. If not for the latter, I'd have given it 3 stars.
