liked it

Forgive the middling rating: There were things I loved in this book and there were things that made me put the book down or fall asleep or watch TV. Boxing. Long, long ruminations on the Honeymooners. Colombian family dynamics. Some of these tediums payed off in the end - specifically the Honeymooners material. Others...

The stranger things get in A Naked Singularity the better they are. For example: The Orchard Hotel, Alabama death row: positively brilliant. Fantasmagorical weirdness slouching through realism.

I'll say this: This book is great. Casi.
