it was amazing
bookshelves: 2008, parenting

This book challenges traditional parenting methods - punishment/reward systems, time-outs, etc. - and calls into question so many habits that parents often unconsciously engage in. While shifting the focus from behavior, Kohn offers parents a revolutionary way to build healthy relationships with their children and allow children to develop into confident, moral beings.

I was looking for a gentle and loving way to respond to the challenges of parenting a toddler, and this book exceeded my expectations. A must read for anyone seeking enlightened alternatives to help children become the best version of themselves.
