Recommended for: Travelers in Europe, Aspiring Travel Writers, As an easy read

A lighthearted account of Bryson's travels throughout Europe from the Arctic Ring in the North through Istanbul, resting on the edge of Asia.

Only the second Bryson book I have read but he has a very easy to read and jovial writing style that I will likely explore further in the future.

This book was given to me by Joseph in S. Korea as it was left with him by a former teacher and Joseph has no need for books in English.

It would be much better read on one's journey throughout Europe rather than in a highrise Officetel in Seoul but it was entertaining nonetheless.

Would have received four, rather than three stars had the concluding chapter on Istanbul not been so abbreviated and altogether negative. . .but I guess that just reflects the feelings one has towards the end of their journey. . .I gotchya Bill!
