A stand-alone from the Cotton Malone series, though Stephanie Nell does have a cameo role. Premise that Christopher Columbus was a Jew, and that he helped to hide the sacred treasures of a Jewish temple. Journalist Tom Sagan is interrupted from killing himself by a man who comes to request his assistance in a search for the treasure. But instead of simply doing what the man asks and allowing his father's grave to be exhumed, Sagan involves himself, trying to protect his estranged daughter, finding a reason to live and a way to reconnect with his father, at least on a spiritual level.
