it was ok
bookshelves: never-finished

The issues I had with this book are similar to what others have said. It was a good premise that absolutely lacked any type of readable execution. The main character acted like she was much, much younger than a senior in high school, no more than 13-14 max. The worse part of all is that it dragged on and on. There was no real pace or sense of urgency.

I realized about 40% through the book that I was actually looking for excuses to put it down and stopped even trying to finish it, which is a rarity for me. What finally got me to that point was the main character wanted a snow day and then after she got one stated how she hated them. It was, unfortunately, the same lack of consistency that was in the previous pages that made this so difficult to read.
