Doug TenNapel has an amazing talent at coming up with fantastical stories that are written and drawn so well and this one is no exception. Cardboard is a creative story that shows how important it is to listen and follow the rules. It carries a lot of different emotions within it: sadness, fear, relief, and some very touching moments. A story that starts with a father just trying to make his son happy ends with that son/father duo having to save the neighborhood.
