it was amazing

I don't feel like it is my place to review this book, but I can at least share my reaction to it. Although it is a personal letter from a father to a son--and from that vantage, I feel it was not intended for me--my mind is altered for having read it. I have not felt so enriched by a book in a long time. As I read his words, I felt as though I was hearing a story I thought I knew for the first time. I am only beginning to understand how disparate life experiences are for people in America with different colored skin, but this book is the beginning of my comprehension. I have a wholly new perspective and language through which to uncover it.
