it was ok
bookshelves: first-read-in-adulthood, not-recommended, on-loan, started-and-abandoned

epic fail at the library this time around. five books, two read, three abandoned. this was one of the abandoned ones. i just couldn't get into it at all. the idea is great, on the surface. slow plot... i got almost 150 pages into it before realizing that NOTHING WAS HAPPPENING except theological discussions and random discussions about pages and pages of what was just discussed. it got old really fast. i also have issues with the whole relationship - i don't mind holmes being in a relationship at all, but with a 21 year old girl at age 60? creepy.

not believeable in its own context, full of itself, and pretty badly written. not recommended.
