Hmmm, why did I like this book so much? The pre-school girl is full a self-pity, rage and frustrations, as only a 3-4 year old can be. The book follows the quirky events of the day and how her mother and baby brother suffer along. But the illustrations are charming, especially her mothers frazzled looks and her brothers serene smiles. Maybe I felt nostalgia and relief at being past that phase with my boys. In the end, the next day is better, just like her mommy assured her. This book could be used with pre-schoolers for some self-reflection or as an example of how to apologize.
