After turning Lincoln into a vampire, Grahame-Smith re-imagines the birth of Jesus. The three wise men turn out to be three criminals who, in their escape from prison, cross paths with Joseph and Mary and baby Jesus. Their intervention enables Jesus to survive. The book is fun, filled with plenty of action and, like the Lincoln book, stays close to the "real" story. But the book feels a little tired.
