it was amazing

I tend to read PNR because I fully enjoy the fantastical aspect of those types of stories as well as the romance, but the light sprinkles of a futuristic description, the suspense, and the development of the main characters are keeping me hooked to the In Death series.

The stories are not overly complicated: Eve Dallas, Lieutenant at the NYPSD of the homicide department, is called to a homicide and with the help of colleagues and a gorgeous billionaire fiancé/husband she solves the case. The endings generally place her in danger, but she preservers through it and survives.

This particular story has Eve's best friend implicated for murder and it is a testament to Eve's strong belief in justice and loyalty that you see her battle through this case to clear her friend's name and find the true culprit. A great tale of friendship, love, money, power, the desire for immortal beauty, and the lengths people will go to obtain it all.
