really liked it

This book is just a bit weird at the beginning, until you get used to the human main character turning into a whale. Nita is just trying to have some vacation time, until she is taken to a beached whale who tells her that the Lone Power is breaking free of it's age-old bonds. There isn't much they can do about it, until they turn into a whale. This causes them to volunteer for the song of the twelve, a ritual that keeps the Lone Power bound. There's only one catch… Nita volunteers for the place of the silent lord, which means the needs to sacrifice herself.
