it was ok
bookshelves: no-thanks

I gave it a shot. I was drawn in for a bit but I felt myself getting a diabetic coma from so much saccharine prose and so little plot and character development. This book has its fans and I'm just not one of them.

Yuri Zbitnoff This book teeters a little too close to all out suckage. But I'm going to hang with it.

Daniel Agreed. Some nice imagery, but the plot was really thin and the historical aspects felt like window dressing.

Yuri Zbitnoff But it just got so heavy handed. Everything was so colorful and radiant and soft and willowy and warm and magical! And people were so interesting and lovely! And the dinners at le maison de Chandresh! It was a bit much for me.
