I read this book for my book club. I found it to be very elementary and useful for those who are not used to praying. For seasoned prayers, it was a good reminder of the basics. Also I found the best chapter to be the first one of the two about revivals (the 2nd being more historical). I have read many more practical and more insightful books on prayer than this one. This one was written in 1900.
