it was amazing
bookshelves: contemporary-novel, favorites

If the first sentence is not enough to get you sucked into the book, give it a few pages. Jefferey Eugenides traces a genetic defect from a couple generations to Calliope, the main character. You'll follow Calliope's journey into Cal, and see how much she grew to get there. Eugenides is an excellent writer; highly recommend. One of my favorite books.
