really liked it

This book is about a teenage girl going down a bad path because she is lost. Caitlin's older sister ran away from home on her sixteenth birthday. Her parents were super concerned and because of it they neglect Caitlin. Even when her sister was around Caitlin was still put behind her sister. Once her sister leaves she tries to figure out what to do because she can't let her sister take the spotlight. She meets this "bad boy" at school and starts to like him. He is mysterious and that makes her like him more. She starts to date him and after a bit he beats her, not just once but over and over again. She knows it is bad for her but she just can't get away.

This story is about finding out who you are as a teenager. I think she chose to date Rogerson because she didn't really know who she was. She felt like this image that she had was only because of her sister and she wanted a different one. She was trying to figure out who she is by doing dangerous stuff because maybe she would feel some type of thrill. Especially as a teenager it is easy to be influenced by the people around you or things you see but none of those things are really who you are. She was trying so hard to not be her sister that she became someone totally different.
