3.5, but we'll round up this time for enjoyability. And I did like it better, I think, as a re-read, than the first time I read it three years ago.

It's fairly straightforward: Katsa's Grace, or supernatural ability, is killing people. Gracelings aren't popular at the best of times, when their Graces are useful (fighter for the army, cooking, etc) or harmless (really good at swimming), so Katsa generally doesn't have friends. And then adventure and friendship and romance and more adventure.

And it's a pretty good adventure. One in the vein of Tamora Pierce heroines who are actually useful.
