This book is a must read for anyone interested in education, particularly in the United States.

I think if an objective third-party were to analyze our education system, they would conclude that it was designed specifically to squash out genius demoralize (and even psychologically damage!) the highly gifted. Genius Denied offers a number of very practical solutions, some of which the authors have begun to implement themselves.

It should be noted that the focus of this book is on highly gifted and genius-level kids (hence the title), who have almost limitless potential for learning, and for whom the current gifted programs are not even close to enough.
