This was a different kind of book. Sonia, pregnant with her third and unexpected child, has had enough of motherhood. She leaves her husband and two kids and does everything you're not supposed to do - drinks, smokes pot, has extramarital sex - and doesn't apologize for it. This story is not the typical motherhood/pregnancy story, and while I really, really wanted to love the premise, since there's enough Sanctimommy stuff out there, I ultimately couldn't find Sonia likable, and at times the story felt disjointed. We never really get in her head, and the ending felt very quick and "tidy."
