Never Let Go (Lazarus Rising, #1)

Elizabeth was his light. He came back from every mission because he was coming home to her.
He was a Navy SEAL, devoted to service and working for the Lazarus Project. She was his doctor, who okayed him for missions. Screw the no fraternization policy, they were in love and nothing was going to tear them apart. Except Sawyer dies and the truth behind Lazarus, Elizabeth's truth, comes to light. It was frightening and thrilling and I loved the twists and turns the author created with this science experiment.
Elizabeth knew her formula to bring back the dead wasn't ready but it was inevitably out of her hands when the 'men' wanted super soldiers. Highly aggressive, suspicious, and impossible to tame, Sawyer and his team were tired of being lab rats and prisoners. In their quest for freedom there were plenty of casualties and not everyone has the same goals.
I'm intrigued by where this story is going and it's far from over. Some of the bad guys are gone, but there are still plenty out there. Despite my less than lovable feelings for Elizabeth (because who treats the man they love the way she did???), I'm hopeful that there will be plenty more for me to love (besides Sawyer and Flynn) in the books to come.
